RECREATIONAL AGE DIVISIONS (PreK**, Kindergarten, and Grades 1-2, 3-4, 5-6)

Teams will be formed by grade. Pre-K is a co-ed team.

Pre-school children** must turn 4 by May 1st, of the current year to be eligible to play.

All children in PreK, Kindergarten, and Grades 1 through the 6 participate in the Recreational League.  Some age groups of the recreational league may play against other recreational teams in our neighboring communities. All children in the 7th and 8th grade must participate in the Middle School League.

WHERE AND WHEN DO WE PLAY *Note - The following is our norm in a pre Covid environment.  All this may be adjusted as dictated by CDC guidelines*

Practices usually begin in late March depending on the weather and how quickly we can find coaches and set teams. Historically, finding enough coaches has been an issue.  Games typically begin the first Saturday in April and should conclude by the end of May. Most games will be played on Saturdays but there could be some Sunday and/or weeknight games during the season. Saturday games will begin between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. See note above.*  Games for the younger age groups (PreK through 4th grade) and home games for the remaining age groups are typically played at Hylen Souders Elementary School, 4121 Miller-Paul Road, Galena. Other games (Grades 5 – 6 and MSL) could be played in our neighboring communities.

UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT

PreK - Grade 2 will receive a Timbit jersey included with your application fee. If you are a Grade 3-8 returning player and have outgrown or lost your reversible jersey, please order a new jersey and include an additional $20.00 replacement fee.  All players must supply their own shorts, socks, shoes, soccer ball and required shin guards.  Shoes may be soccer, baseball, or an all-purpose type of cleat.  Metal cleats are not permitted.
